Downtown Redding is compact and easy to explore on foot, by bike, or by car. It is a central location for several signature events, including Kool April Nights, the Redding Beer and Wine Festival, and the highly popular annual Pancake Breakfast organized by the Asphalt Cowboys.

Parking:
Paid parking is $1 per hour, but the machines suck.  Our best suggestion is to download FLOWBIRD (Apple) (Android) ahead of time and use it when you are ready to park — free parking after 6 PM and on weekends.

Public Safety:
While Redding, in general, is a pretty safe city, we do not recommend walking alone in Downtown Redding after dark.
